High School

So Wednesday was very exciting for Brittany. We both went to High School and Seminary orientation. As my father-in-law has so wonderfully put it, "it kinda sets you back". I felt like wow wasn't she just 4 like 2 years ago? But when we got there I became very excited. They have so many more options then we did when I was in High School. She signed up for Color Gaurd. I think that she will enjoy it. She loves dancing and that is definetly a bonus. We stopped at all the booths she was interested in. One of which was the Woods class. The teacher standing there happened to be Paul's when he was in that class and he did remember him. Overall it was a fun time to be able to just be with her, and doing something for her.

My Mother

This is a special post just for my favorite mom. Maybe when I mentioned I was going to visit Jody I unfortunatly failed to mention that I was going to visit the most wonderful mom in the world. So here is a correction from the earlier post. I am going to Washington to visit MY MOM and Jody. Mom please forgive me. I love you. Let me count the top 10 reasons I love my mom. Here we go:

1. First and most importantly she brought me into this world and raised me in the church.
2. She didn't kill me (obviously) when I screwed up.(that was sometimes alot when I got older).
3. She is very loving
4. She will give you the shirt off her back if you needed it.
5. She taught me how to be a compassionate and loving person.
6. She taught me how to be domestic.(It felt like torture to have chores, but my friends were jealous)
7. She has cried along with me when I needed a shoulder to cry on. (usually over the phone)
8. She encouraged me to further my education, when it was most important.
9. She is one of the best baby-sitters.
10. She is just AWESOME!

Love ya mom.
My sister Jody is flying me up to see her and I am SO counting down. We have the MOST fun doing absolutely nothing. I am going the 1st weekend in May 53 days YEAH!!! If anyone knows how to do a countdown on the border of my blog page I would really appreciate the info.

When I am at work, Em goes to one of my friends, Julee. She has SO much fun there. They do preschool most days and Julee has taught her the pledge of allegiance. It is the cutest thing to see her say it. She knows which hand to put over her heart and everything. When we were at our last pack meeting they start with the pledge she got up on her chair and started with everyone else, the rest of the family was very suprised. I was so proud. Go Julee. Yeah Em.

Great Day!

Today we went to my nephews baby blessing. Paul's sister Jeanette had a little boy and they named him Hunter. Emily made a "present" for him earlier this week and she was very excited to give it to him. She just couldn't wait all week til we went to baby Hunter's blessing. She had taken some of Brittany's scrapbooking paper and made it into a hat. Then she put some stickers that are letters on it. Every morning she would ask me. She was even more excited to do that then go to dance class. (she loves dance class) I got pictures of him and his "gift". I will try to get them on soon.

After the blessing they had testimony meeting. A lady got up and was essentially bearing her testimony of how the Lord answers prayers. He helped her to find canning jars when she desperatly needed them. Trevor leans over to Paul and says why is she crying about jars. He is so sweet, he is paying attention to the speakers YEAH! I then explained why and he still seemed a little confused. But he is listening.

I have really looked at my children this week and have noticed yet again how lucky I am to have such sweet spirits in my home. I also have seen at work how some parents can be and feel very lucky to have such a sweet and loving husband. He loves being a dad, and it shows.

I wanted to blog so that my family wherever they may be can see what we are up to. (because the daily phone calls don't get it all)
